Photographic Memories
Emotion locked under emulsion, Frozen smiles purged by artificial eye, It was not I, But fate perhaps that I gaze at it today, Praying it can hear what I say... ...I cannot believe you have gone away.
Frozen smiles, they seem deceptive now, Grins that mock the fleeting hands of time, Did you honestly think a today devoid of soul and rhyme Could keep your true image unfaded. ...Or is my lens jaded?
Frozen memories, so why do they seethe so, Charring a heart too stubborn to let go Of a dream that can no longer be embraced, Oh was it ever real? A photograph cannot feel. ...Questions spit into the wind Replace the words I cannot rescind.
If only, beg the lonely, time could pause So we could drink the morning dew, ...And make one all that is two. If only time could pause so we could laugh Forever in an old photograph.
Mother Ocean
Whispering gently, free but tame, Upon the breeze she calls my name, While chasing my toes in her spritely game. Ocean sway, and carry me away.
Sizzling swells melt in the sand, Becoming one with fertile land, Hypnotised, I give my hand. Ocean sway, and carry me away.
Red brush paints a sunset sky, Sounds of silence within me fly, Peace is truth, I know no lies. Ocean sway, and carry me away.
Byte Me
The elephant might boast better recall Than the ram, except when computers are involved,
And the pachyderm does not fear the mouse That stirs on a pad that is not its house.
Catching e-mail is easier than catching emu, But a net makes both feasible to do.
It's a jargon out there, with creature comforts of all kinds, Just beware of taking a byte in the behind. |
